Hafenstunde in Neubrandenburg

We were there for the BBQ, staff very friendly and nice location itself, actually the best conditions. However, we were bitterly disappointed. The event was scheduled to start at 6 p.m., after over an hour there was still nothing to eat and it looked badly organized. The highlight was that then a presumed family member or similar. Something to eat was already served in front of all guests. Of course, all the other guests saw this and the mood deteriorated even more. Absolute no-go! For us this was the first and last visit. UPDATE 10/29/2020: We were recently invited to brunch with friends in the restaurant and had a bad feeling beforehand (because of the first experience). Despite telephone reservations for 13 (!) People a few weeks in advance, the on-site staff supposedly knew nothing about it. Cheek! Luckily we were welcomed into the freight yard and loved it. However, my first review confirms this again.

On the occasion of our birthday, my girlfriend and I have a restaurant for October 25th. wanted to have breakfast or "brunch" with the family. We have therefore contacted the operator of the port hour and booked the date 25.10.2020, 10 a.m. for 10 adults and 1 child via Facebook. The operator's answer on 09/02/2020 was: "Okay, that's clear". A week ago I called again for security reasons (October 17, 2020) and registered another person and asked again whether the appointment would be kept. This has been confirmed. Arrived today at 10 a.m. the restaurant was already full and suddenly you didn't want to know anything about our reservation. But we were offered to take a seat outside (mind you, at the end of October when it was fresh 10-12 degrees with 2 children), which we naturally refused. Fortunately, we were able to stop at another well-known eatery in town at short notice, so that the day was saved. All in all, I can only advise against the harbor hour, especially if you don't want to be disappointed.

Great ambience, nice service

Not recommended for business trips! Shared shower and toilet. Without any advance notice. All very impersonal. No WLAN code received. Very sporadically furnished rooms. In addition, I did not get the room I had booked. Not recommendable! You shouldn't even call that a hotel.

Soft ice cream for 2 euros a cheek that was the size of a kid's bag and had nothing to do with soft ice cream for 2 euros ... Unfortunately we ate the first and last there ....

The harbor hour is not a classic restaurant but rather a restaurant with a snack bar. We eat regularly during port hours, whether for breakfast or lunch or for other reasons and have always been satisfied so far. We would love to come back and would be happy to recommend the harbor hour.

I kept your flyer in the mailbox and thought about testing the advertised offer. What really bothers me is that you have to put down a data strip first to become a member so that the price on the flyer is correct. A little hint on the flyer would be the least! Even when you look at your website, it is not clear why you have to become a member and what happens to the data. Edit: Thanks for your answer. Then make it clear on your flyers in future that the advertised price is only valid for harbor friends who have previously registered. So it is just a farmer's trick with people who then grind their teeth to pay the higher price. Of course, you also get bad reviews. That can't be what you want.

Accommodation with breakfast: Super uncomplicated! Arrive and feel good! The room was really nicely decorated and clean. Breathtaking view of the lake where the sunset is just a dream! The staff at breakfast is so super nice. Very high praise. Very helpful and friendly! A small fridge in the room would have been great :) maybe this will be added in the long run. We would book there again anytime!

We drove to Neubrandenburg today to have lunch in the harbor hour. In front of the bistro there was a sign that today is a closed company. There is no information on the website or on the monthly plan. This entry is written quickly and there is no disappointment among the guests. Since we had an elderly lady (almost 90) with us, we cannot try it again because it is too uncertain whether she is open or open. Try to be professional here.

Breakfast completely overpriced. 9.90 € was on the flyer, 16 € paid. Not a large selection. Not even a fruit platter or a glass of juice. It's a shame we won't be back.

Hardly reachable by phone, after a long try it worked out, we were looking forward to a great breakfast and were unfortunately disappointed! Except for a few grapes on the cheese platter, nothing in terms of fresh fruit, nothing else special except the price! 9.90 pp were on the flyer 16 euros, if you are not a so-called port friend with a card! Nowhere is there any indication of this! 😒Well, what else can you say positively? Oh, there is something else! Nice location and nice staff!

Service was friendly, but that was the only thing. It's been a long time since we had such a bad meal. The cake advertised as a peach pie was topped with canned peaches and jelly. A cheek to offer something like that at all. Hands off!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. You plan together for months and trust in agreements that are ultimately worthless. The tip of the iceberg then was the cancellation of the wedding reception by email. Just impersonal .. A call would have been nicer. The reasons are only partially understandable in times of Corona. You just make it too easy for yourself. Good luck to the innkeeper who has at least tried to find a solution. To your answer: Selling things in such a way that you end up as a moral winner must be learned. Hats off for that! Detailed explanations came from their side. But only after I sought a personal conversation with your innkeeper. The first email was short and sweet, not proportionate or fair to the months of planning a wedding celebration. There is still no talk of alternatives or approaches. Apart from that, I did not receive any feedback on email or countless calls. We have been waiting in vain for a promised written offer since mid-February. As far as the use of the hall in the water sports center is concerned, it was definitely worth calling the city yourself. Thank you for the advisable lines at the end. Hopefully we have learned from this and we will not be so easily dazzled in the future. We wish you, of course, a great wedding celebration of your own during the harbor hour.

I was with my wife from 02.07-04.07.2020 in the port hour and can only report positively about staff food and equipment a place for rest and relaxation --- with sunset from the balcony

Good home cooking, we lacked something like that at the lake, which is affordable even for the small budget ... Hopefully it will reopen in late April ...

Very friendly staff. The selection at the buffet was very thin and moving around the buffet area was a bit difficult. Unfortunately, the price performance did not meet my expectations We were in the lower area, it was very loud.

As written, without frills and frills. Simple food, ala canteen without the flair of a canteen. Flexibility is very important. I'm looking forward to the opening of the breakfast season.
